Mandra Edera riding

Whether you want to go out for a one-off hack, take jumping lessons, or spend 4 days on horseback crossing the countryside down to the coast, Mandra Edera's riding team can put you together with the right horse and ride.  Horses are outstanding;  the Mandra Edera-bred Anglo Arab Sardos are forward going and well-mannered.  The teaching team, some of whom compete at national level, is also excellent.

Lessons are available for all levels of rider.

Experienced riders can take advanced equitation lessons, including advanced jumping and dressage.  Lessons take place in Mandra Edera's two rings, just a minute or two's walk from the main house and stables.

Complete beginners are also catered for, with lessons for novices and hats and body protectors available for loan.

Carriage driving is also available.

For those who want to enjoy daily hacks, rides out through the local countryside can be arranged each day.

Most riding activity takes place in the morning, to avoid the afternoon heat, leaving guests free to relax by the pool or explore the area after lunch.

Riding out through the local countryside you're unlikely to encounter people or traffic.  The Mandra Edera estate is deep in the countryside and rides follow ancient tracks across the Oristano landscape, which is fragrant with herbs and the plants of the Mediterranean macchia.

And the views are stunning.

A very popular way to really get to know the horses and area is to join a 4-day ride to the coast.

Small groups of 4-6 ride for the first part of the day towards Cabras, then return to base after lunch to relax and regroup, while their horses stay locally.  The following day the group rejoins its mounts by 4-wheel drive, to continue towards the coast.  Finish this equestrian adventure riding in the Mediterranean waves.

The landscape is stunning, the pace of ride medium - suitable for riders confident at a canter - and can be tailored according to each group.
