Su Lithu is a lovely, family-run hotel on the edge of the quiet village of Bitti in the province of Nuoro, and has been filled with traditional Sardinian craft and textiles by the local owners.  Bitti is a very good location for for touring the island, as many parts of the island are reachable in a day, and it's only 30 minutes from the beautiful east coast and beaches such as Cala Luna.  Su Lithu has an attractive pool, rooms furnished in local style, and a good restaurant creating traditional Sardinian cuisine using produce from the family farm, as well as offering more familiar Italian dishes.  

If you want to discover somewhere different, this is off the main tourist route - Su Lithu is the only hotel in Bitti.  For a feel of the traditional Sardinian way of life in a small rural community, Su Lithu and the surrounding area offer visitors who want to see more of the island as well as its beaches a very relaxing break.
